Why we love it

We love Al Johnson’s because it feels like a true Door County tradition, from the goats grazing on the grass-covered roof to the welcoming Scandinavian atmosphere inside. The Swedish pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream are a must, and the menu offers plenty of comforting choices for everyone. It is the kind of memorable, charming place that turns a simple breakfast into part of the vacation experience.
